As the owner and home inspector at Progressive Inspecting Solutions, I perform each home inspection as if it were my own home. The home inspection includes: site evaluation, roof, structure, attached garages and carports, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, insulation and ventilation, exteriors, fireplaces and stoves, and interiors. I also offer radon inspections, smoke detector inspections, and vacation home inspections.

I have lived most of my life in West Michigan. I have been married to my wife for 27 years. I am the father of four children, 2 of whom are now in college. I enjoy spending time with my family when we can get together, although we are a busy family. I am also a high school basketball official, and am active in our church activities. I am experienced in the building trade, having built my own home among others, and having worked with plumbing, electrical and heating.

I promise to provide an honest, objective and thorough home inspection and report. You will experience the utmost professionalism and friendliness from the time that you first contact me. I believe that my job does not end with you receiving my report, but I will be available to you whenever you have questions or concerns, whether that is the next day or 2 years from now. I want to help you understand more about your house.

Part of being a member of InterNACHI is the responsibility to abide by a certain Code of Ethics and substantially follow InterNACHI's Standards of Practice. Click on the links to see the standards I am held to as I inspect your house. I strive to exceed those minimum standards wherever possible.

I am also required by my membership in InterNACHI to do a certain amount of continuing education each year, and I love to learn more about my work and how I can better serve my clients. I spend a good amount of time reading message boards about issues that other inspectors come across, and how those issues can be dealt with.

My Promise to You

Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me.  Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing.  One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work.  Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort.  If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort.  This I promise you
